Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food

We are Sheldon and Jean Zimmerman and are the farmers and the owners of Nature's Harvest Market.

Our 50-acre farm is located in the rolling hills of Richfield, Juniata County. On our farm or other pastures that we manage is where we raise as many of the products that are for sale as possible. Some of the differences that set us apart from other farms is the way we manage our animals and land.

Our core differences are:

Antibiotic and Vaccine Free... We believe if we manage our animals well, they can build up an immunity against viruses and in return we don't need to use antibiotics or vaccines

Hormone Free... We don't give any of our animal's hormones of any kind. Our great carcass yields are all managed from selecting the best.

We Are the farmers... It may sound funny that we say this but with the demand for straight-from-the-farmer, grass-fed, heritage raised meats it is attracting an awful lot of venture capital investor types who setup websites while buying at wholesale and selling a product they never raised. Make sure your farmer, is a farmer!

Livestock are born and raised in Pennsylvania...We find it unbelievable that some expensive home delivery services with really nice websites that are selling 100% grass-fed beef are selling beef are being imported from as far away as Australia, Argentina, Chile and New Zealand. Our livestock is always raised on our farm or by a local farmer friend we know and trust. You can rest assured they are always Humanely Raised and Respectfully Harvested.
